About me and my therapy practice

Only You know when it’s time to talk - and when You do, I am a here for You- I am a Person Centred Counsellor - which means that you know what you want to discuss and You will guide me through your experiences - I don't analyse or make judgements - rather I want to experience it from your point of view. Being Person Centred is a special type of training - where You will be the focus of the session alongside how your experiences have shaped Your world. Therefore, how You are making sense of your world - is central to the work. As a therapist, I will want to understand it from your point of view -to truly understand how it is for You, but that doesn't mean that I will be only listening - on the contrary - we will be working together- but working therapeutically together, gently collaborating, gaining a deeper focus to the work - together we will explore those difficult places and find those roots, but at your pace, always valuing your autonomy.

My first session

In our first session we will explore your expectations and what you want from therapy - we will discuss what has worked before or what you liked in previous counselling sessions - I will discuss with you various aspects to what I have to offer- I will invite you to share with me, so that you can experience mu approach and if you feel you can work with me - it is important that you find a counsellor that you can work with, therefore you can always go and give it some thought and get back to me later.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer Person Centred Supervision for Person Centred and Integrative Person Centred Practitioners. I offer a creative perspective - I am trained in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and other creative aspects to supervision.

The Working Alliance -  negotiating how we will work together, will play a central, key role in the development of our therapeutic working relationship: How do you want explore and develop alongside experiencing my training and understanding? Negotiating ways of working will form the bedrock to our work together which is creative, inclusive and gently challenging.

Supervision at its very nature is concerned in harnessing different perspectives, to improve the quality of the work thereby transforming client relationships while continually developing practitioners and their practice - and that is my ethos and understanding of my Supervisory role.

By offering the core conditions - I like to create permissive, creative and safe environments where we can explore without judgement and communicate from a place of support and empathic- challenge - aiming for a deeper focus to the work.

Practice description

I am an Integrative Person Centred Counsellor - my training was predominantly Person Centred integrating Transactional Analysis. In my private practice - I use perspectives from Gestalt, Mindfulness, CBT, Working with Defences: Psychodynamic, Focusing: Gendlin, various art techniques and client led integration.

My first session

In our first session, the working alliance and negotiating ways of working will play a key role in developing a working relationship - as a person centred practitioner I will be interested in how you work with your clients and how you would like to work in Supervision, and in turn, I will share my Supervision training with you, in order for you can gain understanding of what is expected in the session.
