About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thankyou for taking the time to read about my services and how I can support you or your loved ones.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. This means I tailor my sessions to the individual client, using different types of therapy to suit a persons unique needs.
There are many reasons for entering into counselling but it is likely that you seek therapy when you feel that your coping strategies are not working as efficiently as they normally would. It may feel like negative emotions are seeping into other areas of your life and becoming increasing harder to contain and control. Confusion, panic, anger, sadness, depression are just a few of the emotions that may be experienced, which can be frightening and lead to anxious thoughts. It may feel easier to try and hide or bury painful thoughts and emotions, pretending they don't exist, but often they can resurface in other unexpected ways. Friends and family can offer support but they may avoid the true issues that are troubling you as they may not want to upset you further. This can result in you feeling that you're not being heard and understood? You may feel that you can't share your thoughts as you don't want to worry your family and friends. You don't need to go through this alone.
What is counselling?
We can explore and reflect on your thoughts and feelings and begin to understand your true emotions in a safe, non judgemental environment. We can look at building confidence and self esteem as this can help build positive relationships. Gently, we can work through the issues that are holding you back, allowing clarity and the opportunity for you to move forward in your life.
