About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Emily: a fellow Londoner and a therapist specialising in helping 'millennials' and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
I work with anyone who wants something to be different in their life, often exploring issues including loss and bereavement, depression, burnout, anxiety, relationship challenges, lack of direction, purpose or meaning, low self-esteem or self-confidence, family challenges and LGBTQ+specific questions.
I will listen to whatever is on your mind, and explore it with you at your pace, in your style. Together, we can work towards finding the right way forward for you, and towards bringing you back to yourself.
I practice as an Integrative counsellor, so I use ideas from several different theories. This means I can offer a flexible approach, curated to what you want from your therapy - whether that's solutions to an immediate issue, a deeper exploration of your life, or a combination of the two.
I have particular experience of working with millennial clients, and in January 2020 I spoke at a BACP conference about working with this generation. I also have additional training in working with bereavement and loss: loss in particular feels very relevant to the millennial identity, so these two specialisms often combine.
