I am currently unavailable for private clients between 9am and 5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays as I work for the NHS during these times. Please contact me to discuss possible evening sessions on these days. Subject to availability, I am able to offer sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with mutually agreed times during the day or evening as required.

I am able to offer specialised intensive sessions for those who feel they need specific support with addiction on a daily basis. All therapy sessions and timings are designed with your needs in mind and with regards to your personal circumstances.

About me and my therapy practice

I have wide experience of working within the NHS, private healthcare addiction clinics / hospitals and in private practice over a number of years.  My work is highly individually specified and our first session will be key to how we both chose to move forwards and what you would like to achieve through our work. Individual respect, support and understanding are key to our work and its success.

I provide space and time for you and I to consider the difficulties and concerns you are facing; a confidential place where you can feel secure and supported - building a positive pathway forwards that will last.

I hold professional postgraduate qualifications in Humanistic counselling and psychotherapy and an Msc in Addictions Psychology, which may be of particular interest to you if you are seeking support with alcohol, substance or dependency concerns, though I also have wide experience of working with anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I am also currently studying toward a doctorate in existential psychotherapy.

Practice description

Due to Covid-19, I am currently able to offer online and telephone counselling only. Depending on what you feel most suitable or comfortable, we can use either zoom sessions or telephone, or a mix of the two. Many clients have said that the convenience of zoom and telephone sessions has been a really positive. The times and frequency of sessions will be negotiated between us to suit your needs and availability.

All sessions are entirely confidential.

My first session

In our first session I will outline the way we will be working together and what outcomes you would like to achieve and the concerns you feel you need support with.  This session is designed to be constructive, supportive and be the start of our work together and will be conducted at a pace you feel happy with.

I will outline all the confidentiality issues and ask you to agree to our contract of working, which is a way of safeguarding ourselves.

As previously outlined, I am not offering direct contact in-person sessions at the moment due to Covid-19. All sessions will need to take place over the phone, using zoom, or/and via email.
