About me and my therapy practice

Finding a therapist you connect with is probably the most important part of finding a therapist. I am extremely passionate about offering supportive and effective therapy that facilitates the change my clients are ultimately seeking to experience. I personally understand the challenges of Mental Health and the benefits of therapy.

Experience I am an Integrative Counselling Therapist. I have 8+ years of training, 6 years of client experience and I'm in my fourth year of running a busy Private Practice.

Approach The therapy I offer is tailored to the individual needs of my clients. Integrative therapy means that I am qualified to use a range of approaches, which can be adapted specifically to suit each person I work with.

Have you thought about what you would or wouldn't like from your therapy experience?

I am warm, relatable and caring and I feel that our connection is an essential part of your therapy being a success. Our conversations will be insightful but most importantly, they will be confidential and without judgement. I'll offer you emotional safety with emphatic and honest insights. I am extremely supportive and committed to helping each and every one of my clients with whatever they bring to our work.

Your Therapy There is no right or wrong way to 'do' therapy. In my experience it's a process that evolves, uniquely with each person. With every session both you and I will discover more about the way you think, feel and behave. Gradually with exploration and insight you will become more self-aware and better equipped at coping with the challenges you came with.

Some clients use their time in therapy to address specific issues, whereas others take a less directive approach, gently exploring the confines of their mind. Whether you want to work in a solution driven, analytical manner or just remain gently in the present, we can create an experience that feels right for you.

Practice description

Therapy Setting

Prior to Covid-19 I ran a face-to-face Private Practice for three years.

In March 2020 I moved my Practice online, to keep my clients as safe as possible. Sessions are being offered via telephone or video call until further notice.

I offer the same high standards working online as I did in face-to-face practice.

Supervised Practice

In accordance with my BACP ethical commitment, I attend fortnightly supervision to ensure that I am appropriately and professionally supported.

Clients

Essentially I work with adult clients (18+) dealing with a wide range of issues. This is everything from every-day stress and overwhelm through to complex mental health issues.

My first session

Working Together

If you would like to see if working together would be the right decision then:

First Phone Call

Please call, text or send an email with your phone number so that we can establish contact. I like to have an initial and informal call so that we can introduce ourselves.

First Session

50 minutes Free

75 minutes £25

Between the first phone call and your first session I will send you a copy of my working agreement and two assessment forms.

We'll begin the first session by discussing formalities before you'll then be invited to start, wherever you feel comfortable beginning. As this can be a little bit daunting for some people, I'll make this as comfortable as possible.

Ongoing Sessions

50 minutes £50

75 minutes £75

I offer open-ended therapy. This means you attend for as long as you need to whether that's weeks, months or years.

Some clients require several sessions per week at the start or if they are experiencing a mental health crisis.

The standard arrangement is a recurrent weekly or fortnightly session.

Clients coming to the end of their therapy may wish to reduce the frequency of their sessions, e.g. monthly.

I offer an 'open-door' policy, which means clients who have worked with me previously, are welcome to return, if they need further therapeutic support.
