About me and my therapy practice

Hello :)

I expect recent events have had a significant impact on your life. Lockdown may have felt extremely lonely and difficult to bear - full of challenges - but I sincerely hope that it hasn’t been overwhelming.  Health, relationship, child care, financial and employment worries may have been enormous - or you may have quietly enjoyed this time away from society and perhaps feel anxious about returning.

And of course, any ongoing problems that you may have already had may also still be around.

I began seeing clients in 2013 and, whilst working with people who are experiencing a wide variety of issues, specialist areas for me are helping those with:

•anxiety

•bereavement and loss

•attachment issues

•the pressures of being a carer

•trauma

So, if you are struggling with feeling anxious all the time, if you just can't seem to get back on track after losing someone close to you, if you find relationships difficult, if you look after someone else and yearn to be heard yourself or if you find that events from the past are adversely affecting your life now - do get in touch and let's see if, working together, we can get you to a place where your life feels more comfortable and somewhere you really want to be.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me - there is a form on the left or visit my website.

I look forward to hearing from you ...

Warm Regards,

Suzy

Practice description

As a humanistic and integrative counsellor, my work is underpinned by Person-Centred theory so our sessions would take the direction that you choose. I would work alongside you to create a compassionate, honest, non-judgemental and professional relationship in which to explore your concerns and to support your process of self-discovery and change.

I will sometimes suggest more creative ways of working, if they seem to be relevant and potentially helpful and I always approach each client individually and as holistically as possible.

My clients are of all ages, from 12 years upwards and I would welcome your enquiry, whoever you are and whatever your background.

I have experience of working with a wide variety of issues, for example: anxiety, depression, relationship problems, abuse, trauma, coping with illness and the pressures of caring, bereavement and loss.  I have specialist training in working with trauma and bereavement.
