About me and my therapy practice
Life can be tough for many reasons, I believe therapy can support you to lead a happier and more meaningful life. I offer face to face, online and telephone sessions using an integration of a number of evidenced based therapies with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) attachment theory and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I will work with you to help you understand how your life has been shaped by your experiences, how these experiences continue to shape the course of your life and how you can shift those patterns that no longer serve you in order to create the life you want to live.
In our increasingly busy and time-pressured lives we can often find ourselves feeling disconnected, unhappy or just restless. Psychotherapy provides a safe space for you to explore your connection to yourself and those around you, increasing your capacity for intimacy in your relationships and greater compassion for who we are.
I have 15 years experience of supporting people to overcome the effects of drug and alcohol misuse within the NHS and non-profit organisations. I have been practising Psychotherapy for over three years, working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse and in private practice.
Our initial session will start with a free 30 minute phone consultation to ensure that I am the right person to help you with your goals. We can then arrange to meet for our first 60 minute assessment session to allow us time to thoroughly discuss your presenting difficulties.
