About me and my therapy practice
Welcome! It’s not easy to find a therapist that you can trust and that can help you tackle the difficulties you are facing. It’s very important for you to feel welcomed at first, because it’s not easy to open your heart to someone you don’t know. I offer a confidential, warm, empathetic and non-judgemental psychodynamic approach while addressing a broad range of mental health issues, personal and relationship difficulties. When you first come to see me, we will discuss your unique needs and your individual requirements and then I provide you with a space and support to deepen your understanding of yourself in your journey which is going to help you to reconnect with your true-self and with your social environment. I have worked with wide range of people of all ages and different backgrounds.
I am specially trained in working with children and adolescents having qualified through Birkbeck, University of London and now offer counselling for parents. I worked with children as a school counsellor so I am experienced with autism, ADHD, eating disorders and behaviour issues. I am very passionate to support parents/carers of loved ones who suffer with these difficult issues. When children are suffering with difficulties, often the parents don’t look after themselves or they don’t have time to look after themselves. In my own experience, self-care, including therapy helps us to reconnect, improves our consciousness and enables us to support our loved ones in a better way. Therefore we learn to connect to ourselves and with our family.
I worked as a Counsellor for the Refuge Therapy Centre in London for over 3 years where I worked with trauma and post-trauma stress related issues in men. Additionally, I facilitated and supported a refugee women’s group in long term therapy with psychosomatic issues and trauma.
