Galit Ferguson

I'm a fully qualified and experienced psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist (with MSc and PhD). I also work with university students, as a student counsellor. 

I work in Bounds Green / Bowes Park, in North London, although during the pandemic I am offering therapy online and on the telephone.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic space for you to explore the issues you wish to bring.

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds/identities. I have extensive experience of working with young people (18+) and students, as well as with older people.

I help people address issues such as anxiety and stress, depression, feeling low or stuck, concerns with indecisiveness or procrastination, low self-esteem, feelings of loss and grief, creative blocks, loneliness, panic attacks, and issues around identity. I also help people address relationship and family issues, including parenting, divorce, loss and separation.

I offer open-ended therapy, or short-term counselling (which is more focussed). I have a few reduced fee spaces for people who are out of work, on a low income or studying full-time.

In our initial meeting, we will explore what brings you to therapy now, and your hopes, fears and expectations. 

We will discuss some practicalities, and will have a chance to think about how you feel about us working together.
