About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my directory profile. I hope you find all of the information you need, please contact me if you have any queries or would like to book an appointment. (Please note: I will always reply within 48 hours, my e-mails may initially land in your spam folder).
Counselling provides you with a supportive, confidential and safe environment where you will be valued and listened to in a respectful and non-judgmental way. An effective form of therapy, it can help you make positive changes to your life and deal with any issues that may feel overwhelming or are causing you emotional pain, unhappiness or stress. It can help you explore difficult issues and gain more insight into understanding yourself and your problems whilst finding solutions that are right for you.
I am an experienced Person-Centred counsellor working with an integrative approach (using techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and The Rewind Technique for trauma and PTS/PTSD) to support each client in the best way for them. I have experience counselling a wide range of issues including low self-esteem and confidence, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and abuse. I believe that everyone has the ability to reach their unique, full potential and lead a fulfilling life in a way that is right for them.
I offer both short term (solution focused brief therapy) and longer term individual counselling and personal therapy sessions for student counsellors. I work with businesses for EAP provision and provide invaluable case supervision for Designated Safeguarding Leads.
I am a fully qualified, insured counsellor and a registered member of the governing body of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and am on the accredited register of the Professional Standards Agency.
I also have a clear Enhanced DBS Certificate.
