About me and my therapy practice
I am a professionally-qualified, experienced counsellor and psychotherapist based in central London. My aim is to offer a safe, calm and supportive space in which you can both be yourself while also exploring the potential you have for change.
I work for the most part psychodynamically. What this means is that I understand the difficulties that trouble us in the present as very often arising out of our pasts. This in turn means that we may be able to do more about what makes us feel anxious, confused or distressed than we think.
For while you can't change the past, the experience of talking in confidence about how you are feeling and of being listened to without judgment and without anyone jumping to conclusions, can definitely change the way your past affects you. And you will find that brings change to whatever you might be struggling with at the moment: whether that's a personal matter, a relationship issue or a problem at work.
My practice is located in a quiet building near Oxford Circus. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy. To begin with, I usually suggest an initial session to give me a sense of why you are seeking therapy and what you would like from it.
