About me and my therapy practice
I work from a Person Centred perspective. You, as the client, are the focus of the sessions, and as such, you will lead and direct how they go. I'm not here to offer advice, or to fix or change you in any way. Instead, I am to work alongside you, as a guide or companion.
My areas of interest and further growth include Men's Mental Health, Gender, Sexuality, Diversity, as well as Self Harm, Suicide, and general emotional issues. My work is not limited to these areas, and I will happily work with anyone who needs me.
Practice description
I work in a non-judgemental and open way, with our relationship being important. We have to be able to talk and get on for therapy to work.
My first session
Our first session would very much be a 'get to know' each other. A relaxed conversation, and at the end, you would have time to decide whether you would like to continue working with me. This is a very important factor, as you have to feel comfortable working with me.
What I can help with
ADD / ADHD, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Men's issues, Redundancy, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Humanistic, Person centred

Practice description
My main passion is working in the LGBTQIA+ community - helping you with gender and sexuality issues. This isn't limited to this community, all are welcome.
Sessions would be remote (on Zoom) as I am not based in Cardiff so cannot do face to face work.
I am experienced in these areas, and lecture fellow counselors in these fields

I currently have availability on Mondays and Fridays, and can see you either online or face to face from my practice space in Illogan.
About me and my therapy practice
As a counsellor I am trained in the Person Centred Approach and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling. My areas of interest are working with sex, gender, and sexuality, neurodiversity, grief, as well as general counselling. I am currently studying the Psychosexual Certificate with Tavistock Relationships to broaden my knowledge in that area. I completed my Supervisors Course with Counselling Tutor at the beginning of 2025. I have been in practice since 2022.
My work is very much built on the relational aspect, and this carries over into my supervision. Being able to talk open and freely about all aspects of your practice is vital to looking after your clients. Another aspect of supervision I find necessary for myself, and therefore offer forward to my supervisees, is your welfare; you need to be ok in order to work well.
Sessions can either be 60 or 90 minutes, depending on your requirements.
Practice description
I offer counselling supervision for trainees as well as qualified therapists. I can also work in a supervisory capacity to members of other helping professions.
