About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Shane, a humanistic therapist from North-West London. I am trained as a Person-Centred pluralistic counsellor/psychotherapist and am a registered MBACP Counsellor & Psychotherapist.

Finding a moment for yourself may be difficult, - glad to see you were able to arrive and that you’ve made it this far – I feel it’s such a brave move to reach out for help.

As humans, I feel we are able to find a strength and resilience which allows us to be the best versions of ourselves. This may mean asking for some guidance, support and a warm space to explore what’s coming up for you. You may feel stuck within the difficult parts of life that you may not feel able to cope or make sense of.

I feel within this therapeutic atmosphere together we may be able to help unlock whatever seems very stuck for you but always only at your own pace.

The authors Mearns & Thorne say

‘It’s All About Loving’.

I agree, and I welcome everyone from any background, identity, sexuality and culture.

Practice description

I have worked for a services providing therapy for the LGBTQ+ community and for one specialising in providing bereavement therapy to a wide client base, I feel this has helped me understand all types of individuals & there courage to share.

I have also worked within rehabilitation services while supporting people recovering from alcoholism addiction & other difficulties, also witnessing how aftercare continues to support well-being & sobriety and creating a balance for self-care.

I see myself as a curious therapist, seeking to understand what it is to be in your shoes. I am here to hold whatever you’re willing to share in the space with me without judgement.

I also see myself as creative, as I have worked in the creative industries for over seventeen years and where balance in self-care has grounded me though art music, breathwork, meditation & yoga.

I have pencils, paper and a range of resources to help you express what you might find hard to say in words.

I feel Therapy still continues after our relationship may come to an end or pause, with this in mind I can support in ways to carry on with aftercare while suggesting ideas & resources for you to cope.

My first session

I offer a fifteen-minute free consultation over the phone or video.

If you choose to move forward with therapy.

£70.00 for 60 minutes each week at a set time.

I also offer a first session at

£100 for 75 minutes

This session entails an assessment & collaborative consultation, to see if this feels like somethink manageble to move forward with.

On a personal note I too found at times feeling fearful when starting the process to find & trust another person, but when I did manage to find people to connect with over the years the trust has been very rewarding and life changing.

Remember taking your time is another way of being kind to yourself.
