About me and my therapy practice

Hi my name is Billy, I am a compassionate, caring and non-judgemental practitioner who provides a safe, confidential environment in my tranquil garden cabin.

Why Counselling?

People come to counselling for many different reasons, as life presents us with challenges both past and present. What counselling provides is time and space to process what difficulties you are facing. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling having someone to help you navigate and explore this season in your life can be the turning point you need.

Practice description

How I work

I work at your pace, led by you, building trust so you can feel safe enough to explore your emotions. As the relationship strengthens and where appropriate I may challenge distorted beliefs and behaviours that prevent you from moving towards growth and reaching your full potential.

Training and Experience

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist which means I am trained to use a number of different therapeutic approaches that can be adapted to meet your needs.

This can include working creatively using various interventions or walk and talk therapy if you prefer to be outdoors, as my practice backs onto fields and woodland.

As well as my private practice I have worked with vulnerable adults and families in crisis in a number of settings: Adult Services, Charities and Prison, helping people with various issues caused by mental health and physical health issues such as stress related issues, divorce and the impact on families, social isolation, grief, depression and addiction.

My first session

What to expect?

The first step is to contact me via email or telephone so we can arrange a suitable time to talk.

The second step will be a 20 minute telephone or zoom chat to discuss your reasons for counselling and how I can help you. This will help you to decide if counselling is the right step for you. Then we can find a suitable date for you to start your first counselling session.

The third step will be to discuss the issues you would like to explore in therapy and how best to work together so that you can get the support you need.

All sessions are 50 minutes long, I work face to face or on zoom. I practice from my garden cabin that is set in a private garden.
