About me and my therapy practice
I like to work with clients in a mutually respectful and empathic manner. It can often be a time of uncertainty, and many people wonder “what can counselling do for me?”
Counselling can help you explore topics of importance to you. We can take time to look at these and decide what’s helpful for you, and what’s not, enabling you to make different choices in how you manage yourself, your relationships, and your environment.
As an Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist I draw on a number of theories to best support each individual client. This includes CBT, person centred and psychodynamic approaches.
Each session is as individual as each client.
You can expect (and deserve) a confidential, safe and non judgemental space to voice your thoughts, free from any feelings of shame or guilt.
Each session is one hour- time for you to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours, patterns of thinking and unhelpful beliefs.
My first session
I like to have a 15 minute conversation to see if we feel we are a “right fit” for each other. The therapeutic process is a two way relationship and it is essential that you get a chance to see if I’m someone you could work with.
