About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP Registered & Accredited Counsellor and offer a safe, confidential and relaxed space within my established private practice.  I work using a conversational & holistic approach and have extensive experience (almost 20 years) in a wide range of emotional/relationship problems. Working integratively, I draw on different approaches and techniques to best suit your needs and work at a pace that suits you. Since the mind and body work in unison and I am passionate about wellbeing, I also like to take a holistic approach looking at how lifestyle such as nutrition,  activity and relationships play a part in your wellbeing.  However, this is your choice. I can work with you either in the short or long term, as required. I have a business background and have many years experience of providing counselling within a Occupational Health setting, and am affiliated to a number of healthcare providers Including BUPA and AVIVA.

Having been trained by Barnados, I also provide Adoption Counselling. In addition , I am also trained and experienced in Eating Disorders and Obesity.

I offer staff counselling and training.  This can be on site by arrangement.

My Practice  is 2 minutes walk from London Bridge mainline station.

Please see my website www.talkingheals.co.uk for more information or feel free to call or message me.

Practice description

I have been fortunate to have worked with a diverse range of clients. This includes ethnicity, culture, jobs/professions and issues they have brought. I enjoy working with difference and use a conversational approach .

I have a passion for Wellbeing- emotional, physical and spiritual. Therefore work in a holistic way. We will not only discuss how your past experiences have shaped you but also how your lifestyle maybe impacting your Wellbeing today. We would then look at how changes can be made so that you can live your life the way you you want to live it. Obviously we cannot change what has happened in the past. However, we can change the way we feel about it. Research has revealed that the gut and brain are linked and therefore making changes in our lifestyle can not only help the way we feel physically, but emotionally too

My first session

I am aware that starting counselling can be a daunting experience . However, my aim as to make the process as comfortable for you as possible. Many find that just having that first session can alleviate much of the discomfort it may bring and often feel a relief from making that first step.

The first session is an opportunity for us to identify whether we are the 'right fit.' This means you can establish whether you feel I am the right Therapist for you, and for me to get to know you and to see if and how I can help. We usually discuss what brings you to therapy, your lifestyle and what life has been like for you up until now.

What I can help with

Abuse, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Loss, Obsessions, Personal development, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
