About me and my therapy practice
Making the decision and taking the first step in coming for counselling can be really difficult. As a therapeutic counsellor I aim to make your process as supported as possible, offering a warm, confidential, safe and calm space for you to explore your difficulties at a pace that is right for you.
You may be feeling lost at the moment and not sure who you are any more, and counselling can help you find your true self.
I have supported clients from a range of ages and backgrounds, working with issues including anxiety, depression, stress, self esteem, loneliness, relationships, bullying, abuse, phobias and bereavement.
After a long career in corporate finance including 19 years within the NHS, my passion now lies in counselling. For me, it is a privilege to support someone through their darkest moments and to witness the personal growth and development that therapy has brought.
How counselling can help
Over the years we learn to hide our true feelings which in turn can leave us with feelings of conflict with the things we say and the real way that we feel. We have begun to be untrue to ourselves.
There doesn’t have to be a reason - nothing needs to have happened - but sometimes things don't quite feel right, you can't put your finger on it.
We can talk it through. Once we have found what the 'issue' actually is, you will begin to feel better and begin to live again in a more proactive and fulfilling way.
