About me and my therapy practice
Having spent the majority of my adult life working in the social care sector, I have found that counselling and psychotherapy are really where I feel I belong.
Making the first step towards contacting a counsellor can be daunting and incredibly brave.
It’s very important to find a counsellor who you click with. So, I’m happy to have a chat over the phone prior to making a first appointment.
Counselling can help you make sense of things. It is an opportunity to look at patterns in your life and how you respond to things. Being very passionate about my work, I truly believe that talking therapies can have a profound effect on a person’s ability to heal, develop and move forward.
I work from rooms in the city centre near Queen St Station. Online Webchat sessions are available.
I have worked with issues such as bereavement, trauma, grief, body image issues, disordered eating, depression and anxiety, gender issues, PTSD, physical and sexual abuse, adverse childhood experiences, family estrangement, chronic ill health, domestic violence, loss of a child, miscarriage, abortion, suicidal thoughts, people affected by suicide, low self-esteem and self harm.
I am a HAES friendly Counsellor.
