About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding life a struggle? Do you feel alone and lost in your thoughts. Perhaps you feel anxious, sad, angry, fearful, overwhelmed or having relationship difficulties? I am here for you wherever you are at in your life. I believe talking can help. I will be with you in your struggles and I will listen to you without fear of judgement. Together we can search and find answers to your questions. Everyday life throws up challenges that can affect us emotionally, physically and psychologically.
Therapy provides a safe environment to talk about anything you want to. It is an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings with a therapist in a supportive, and confidential setting. It creates a relationship to explore issues such as relationship difficulties, physical and mental health concerns, self-confidence and self-esteem. We can work towards your goals or if your are not sure what they are we can work together to discover them.
Therapy can help you increase your self-awareness, reaching a deeper understanding about yourself and lifting your self-esteem. It can help you have a more fulfilling and meaningful relationships, not only with others but with yourself.
I have over 3 years experience of psychotherapy work and 20 years working in domestic abuse and trauma. I offer long and short term counselling and psychotherapy, I am currently working remotely on the phone and on line via video sessions, with plans to work face to face when possible. My practice is not far from the city centre. it is situated on the ground floor and has on street parking.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to find out what brings you to therapy and for you to ask any questions that you may have.
We can then book a 50 minute initial assessment where we can meet to explore more of what your current situation is and what you would like to achieve from coming to therapy. It is an opportunity to get to know each other and to get an idea of what it would be like to work together.
There is no obligation for you to continue if you are not comfortable.
