About me and my therapy practice

Hello and a very warm welcome to my profile.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself lately?

Are you looking to improve your mental health and understand yourself better? Do you long for a space where you feel safe and truly heard? You're in the right place. Life's challenges can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, but you don't have to face them alone.

As a specialist online person-centred therapist, I am dedicated to helping you enhance your mental well-being and discover your inner strengths.

I want to emphasise that your uniqueness is both respected and celebrated here. Together, we can create a safe and nurturing space to navigate the challenges and rewards associated with all aspects of who you are.

We can explore how your personal experiences intersect with various identity factors, including gender, sexual and relationship diversity, social background, age, religion, ethnicity, ability, neurodiversity, health, heritage, education, and political beliefs.

My journey to becoming a counsellor began with my own transformative experiences in therapy. I realised that I wanted to offer others the same hope, respect, and unconditional support that I had received. In every session, my goal is to help you uncover your inner strengths, embrace your unique journey, and achieve the positive changes you seek.

This is all about your journey, and I am honoured to walk alongside you. So, what brings you here today? Take control of your well-being, reach out, and let’s explore how therapy can empower you.

Practice description

I am a qualified online counsellor and generally work online using Microsoft Teams which means you can benefit from being in your own home (or perhaps car) for our sessions. Some people like the comfort of a pet or a soothing drink to hand. Teams is user-friendly, works on phones, laptops and tablets and is encrypted end to end.

Alternatively, you may prefer using a phone for our therapy sessions which relies less on good internet connections and may reduce anxiety for some people who are not keen on using a camera.

I also offer email therapy using ProtonMail which is highly secure and confidential (and also free to use). Some people may prefer email therapy as the slower pace allows for deep reflection and considered responses, it also enables you to write at a time that suits you best.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals. I am also a Level 2 Professional Member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online (ACTO). This means I take great care to work professionally, with sincere respect for you. Confidentiality is a priority, as is my commitment to providing you with a safe and ethically sound place for you to talk. I keep up to date with the latest research and training and abide by all legislation such as how to keep your data secure.

My first session

We can arrange a free 15 minute conversation using Teams or over the phone if you prefer, to get to know each other a little. You can ask me any questions you have and explain a little about what has brought you here.

I understand finding someone who feels right to support you is super important and there is absolutely no obligation to work with me after our free meeting.
