My working days are
I currently work online and face to face
There is hand sanitiser available at all times, in between clients the room and surfaces are sanitised and aired.
The use of face masks is not mandatory once seated due to having constant air flow and safe distance at all times but you may wish to wear one anyway. Please let me know if you require staff to wear a face covering also.
Staff are taking lateral flow tests every day that they have clients booked in or twice weekly - whichever is greater.
If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, please do not attend your appointment, you can rearrnage or change to an online appointment by conatcting me via our agreed method.
About me and my therapy practice
Coronavirus update: I am currently seeing clients face to face in Penhow, but am still offering online and telephone sessions as standard.
As a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, I can support you with a number of worries and events that may be past or present in your life, maybe you have concerns about what will happen in the future?
I use a variety of different techniques to support you and am able to adapt my approach to suit your needs.
I have 15 years experience working for the NHS and in more recent years have worked for MIND mental health charity and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Therapy is used to treat emotional problems and mental health conditions, it involves talking to a trained therapist either 1-1 or in a group, it involves looking deeper into your problems and worries and allows you time, confidential space and guidance to work out ways to solve your worries or issues. Therapy can also help you to deal with troublesome habits either cognitive (thoughts) or behavioural (actions). (CBT*)
Therapy is often to referred to as a listening or talking therapy, this is the case for many types of therapist although, therapists are trained to help you to solve your problems so they may suggest a strategy to help solve your problem or even ways to overcome these difficult emotions and support you to change your attitudes and behaviours.
Often coping strategies are needed to help you calm the overwhelming feelings and emotions and your therapist will be trained to help you find ways to cope with these.
Some therapists use art, music, mindfulness and creativity/play, this is often useful for clients who initially feel unable to express their needs through talking
