I have a variety of sessions available including weekdays, evenings and weekends in order that I can offer flexibility to my clients. Please message me to enquire about speficic days/times. I offer a discounted fee if sessions are booked in blocks of 6.
About me and my therapy practice
Choosing a therapist can feel daunting, and can consume hours as you scroll through qualifications, ways of working, and browse profile pictures. All therapists listed on this platform are fully qualified, however, finding the right fit in terms of rapport is so important as the strength of the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client plays a pivotal role in the success of therapy.
I'm happy to offer an initial 'getting to know each other' meeting of around 20 mins.
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor offering a warm, supportive, and confidential space to individuals who are looking for a therapist who can help to navigate a pathway through life’s challenges. I encourage self-acceptance, and self-care, as a foundation. Within a healing therapeutic relationship, I invite clients to take stock of their lives and look upon themselves with kindness.
I understand the urgency of wanting to affect change sooner rather than later, I commit to working with your immediate concerns to help to alleviate suffering in the short-term, whilst keeping in mind your longer-term goals, introducing tools and resources where appropriate. I work collaboratively and at the pace of my clients. We may decide to explore where and when the difficulties that you are experiencing originated. This can help you to understand and process the events or circumstances that may have been beyond your control, and ultimately lead you to a place of healing and clarity.
We are all unique, and respond to life’s challenges in a variety of ways. Sometimes we may turn to coping strategies that might be to the detriment of our own well-being. Even when we know this to be true, it can be tough breaking free of negative habits and patterns of behaviour that have been helping us to get through the day. I firmly believe that we all have the capacity to change and there is ample evidence of our innate pull towards growth and improvement. I will support you on your journey to reconnect with your inner strength and steer a course through your difficulties using alternative long-lasting and healthier strategies.
I offer short term or longer-term therapy and work at your pace and with your agenda. My emphasis is on helping you to build resilience with the aim of bringing about lasting therapeutic change.
Whatever you may be going through, I invite you to step forward and engage in the process of therapy.
My first session
This first session gives you the opportunity to talk through the reasons that you are seeking therapy at this time. You may have issues from the past that you would like to resolve or come to terms with and you may have a more immediate concerns. We can discuss your wishes and expectations, and explore ways of working together.
