About me and my therapy practice
Life is often hard and can challenge us in many ways. Sometimes we reach a point where we experience difficulty in making sense of our lives. You may be feeling anxious, lack confidence, be suffering loss or experiencing other significant changes in your life. When your feelings are difficult to understand and manage, being able to talk freely and openly about what is happening for you can help you to develop new insights, growth and healing in your life.
I understand how daunting it can feel to take the initial steps towards therapy. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and welcoming environment where we can explore together, in confidence, the issues or challenges you are experiencing. I strive to work relationally as I believe it is through the development of this trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel able to look at yourself and seek an understanding of your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
As a Humanistic therapist I draw from many therapeutic modalities and this allows me to work flexibly to adapt our work to fit your individual needs.
I will be alongside you, supporting you as you explore your own issues at your own pace. We will work together as you come to find your own answers to connect more fully with your sense of who you are and feel empowered to make your own choices and decisions and begin to shape a new future...all you need to do is take the first step!
My practice is based in Kensington, London (a 3 minute walk from Earl's Court tube station). Currently I am offering all therapy via Zoom or telephone and will return to face-to-face counselling when it is safe to do so.
I work with clients across a wide range of issues including Stress and Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Loss and Life Changes, Relationship difficulties and breakdown, Loneliness, Addiction, Low Confidence and Self-esteem, Traumatic experiences from past and present, Emotional, Physical and Sexual Abuse.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly at the same time.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute introductory conversation to help you decide if you would like to start counselling sessions. This session is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss what you would like to get from the counselling experience and how we can work together. There will be the chance to ask any questions you may have and help you decide whether we are a 'good fit'.
