About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I really understand how confusing it might be to know what might help you, particularly if you have never reached out for help before. Even if you have received therapy in the past, sharing your inner most feelings with someone new might seem quite overwhelming.
If you want to take the next step, I will be there for you. We can take things at your pace and with your agenda, and work together to explore anything you feel you might need to share in confidence.
Whilst my approach is Person Centred, I offer Compassion Focus Therapy which can help you to become a kinder compassionate friend to yourself, particularly if you are: self critical; have low self-esteem; suffer from anxiety, stress or depression; or have inner feelings of shame; or a negative body image.
I believe that everyone has the inner strength to find themselves again, regardless of what they have been through. I will strive to ensure your voice is heard, so you can explore your emotions, hear your inner voice and begin to trust your own judgments again. No matter what is happening or has happened in your life, we will work together to make sense of it all.
As an integrative counsellor, which means that, whilst you are always in control of the direction of therapy, I will be there, drawing on a range of techniques and tips which will help you to start to feel yourself again.
I’m here for you when you’re ready to take the first step.
If you are still not sure if counselling is right for you, then I offer free 20-minute chat over Google Meet or phone call. This will give you a chance to ask me questions and see if you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. It's important that you feel comfortable working with me, so I encourage you to reach out. There is not obligation to take up counselling after our chat, it's just a way you can see how you feel about it.
If you decide to go ahead with counselling, I offer a variety of ways to meet to suit your busy life, whether you prefer face-to-face, Google Meet, or telephone calls.
- Face-to-face: We can meet in my counselling room at Warrington.
- Video Conferencing: We can meet virtually so you can see me from the comfort of your own home.
- Telephone call: I can also arrange counselling over the phone if you prefer.
If you decide to book several counselling sessions, you can change how we meet from week to week to meet you needs. We normally discuss this at each session.
I do offer home visits once we have got to know each other. They are only offered if you live within the Warrington area in Cheshire.
