About me and my therapy practice
The heart of my practice is compassionate, holistic care that is collaborative, integrative, and person-centred.
Using a person-centred approach means that I put you at the centre of the counselling process. I offer a safe, non-judgemental, confidential place where you can explore what's happening in your life, any blocks or difficulties you are having.
I work with lots of different people covering issues ranging from stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, personal difficulties and life changes, self esteem and confidence, anger, work-related problems and bereavement. Although there are many other areas in which I can help.
When it comes to finding a counsellor, it can be a daunting experience. I am a friendly, down-to-earth Counsellor who offers you a safe, contained space in a relaxed environment to explore what is happening in your life. As we work together, you'll be shown respect, understanding, and patience, so that you can speak freely and openly. I can help you work through issues and challenges that you are facing and help you move forward.
My first session
I offer an initial 15 minute consultation free of charge. Following this, if you feel we can work well together I will ask you to complete an assessment and sign a Working Together Agreement.
In the first three sessions, we'll explore the presenting issue and talk about how therapy might help. Attending these three sessions has no further obligation for either party.
After the three initial sessions, You may decide that You don't want to continue any further or I may decide that the material You want to work on falls outside my expertise and experience, in which case I will refer you to another professional.
