About me and my therapy practice
Welcome. I am an experienced and professionally qualified counsellor. I have worked for both the NHS and the private sector with adults experiencing a broad range of distress which included:
- feelings or worry/fear about past, current or future situations
- profound sadness including feelings of being not worthy, hopeless or "empty"
- issues with self-confidence.
Perhaps you may already feel happy but want to work on enhancing a particular area of your life, such as your relationships.
I have particular interest and experience in these fields:
Career and life transitions
I have supported adults who have considered or experienced life transitions such as career changes. I bring to my work a deep understanding of the difficulties and personal readjustments that such changes might involve.
I have worked with groups of clients whose physical symptoms represented underlying mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
Hostile childhood experiences
I have professional training and experience in supporting adults who may be experiencing distress as a result of challenges in home life or early parental separation. I have an understanding of how such early experiences may affect you in adult life.
My goal is to build a reliable relationship that you can count on in the most difficult times.
You might feel overwhelmed by or anxious about an urgent situation that you want to resolve. I will hold space for your needs with the utmost care and sensitivity.
I will listen to you attentively and with sincerity, offering a quality of attention that will enable us to explore your situation in great details, the effect it is having on you and how you might work through your struggles.
Through the process of attending therapy you may come to see your circumstances in a new light. You may gain a deeper and stronger awareness of yourself and your relationships with others. As an effect of our therapeutic work together issues can start to feel more manageable.
This process can enable you to realise your own potential. This might mean abandoning unhelpful or harmful ways of living and taking steps to improve your quality of life.
To prioritise your goals for therapy we will periodically re-evaluate our work in the sessions together.
My first session
Please send me a message or call me for a 50-minute online or face-to-face initial consultation at no cost. We can discuss what you would like to gain from therapy and establish if we can work together effectively.
After the initial meeting, my fee is £60 per 50 minutes.
I normally hold sessions with my clients at the same time each week (this can be flexible depending on your circumstances).

I am currently working online through secure video platforms (Zoom, VSee, ...) and on the telephone.
