About me and my therapy practice

I am a Therapeutic Counsellor and Career Change Coach, working online, in-person and also outdoors as walk & talk therapy. I work with adults, teens (16+) and young people experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and 'stuckness'.  I am here to offer support, encouragement and guidance towards a deeper understanding of yourself.

I have particular experience and interest in working with anxiety-related issues. I also have experience working with work-related issues, bereavement, divorce, family and relationship problems, self-harm, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and depression.

Perhaps there’s a specific challenge that you are currently facing or maybe you are unsure of what it is you’re looking for but you have lost sight of yourself somehow. Whatever it is that has brought you here, I will listen empathically and provide a confidential space to explore what is important to you, at your pace. I will support you, without judgement, towards empowering yourself to make sense of the challenges you face.

Practice description

I work with each individual as a whole, unique person, offering different perspectives of the human experience. I adapt how I work with each person depending on their needs in the here-and-now. I draw upon different theories to ensure I work in response to each individual’s needs. I work in a Person-Centred way to help me see the world from your viewpoint. I am informed by Transactional Analysis (T.A.) to explore patterns of relating within yourself and with others. I also use tools to bring awareness to the body’s experience in the present moment combined with the practice of self-acceptance. I am also trained in the Rewind Technique – which uses guided imagery and visualisation to work safely and effectively with phobias and trauma.

Additionally, I have worked as a Children’s and Young Person’s counsellor and bring in creative ways of working with young people and adults alike. I now work with teens (16+), young people and adults in private practice.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working within their Ethical Framework to ensure a safe and professional practice.

My first session

It’s important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with, and I am happy to talk with you to help you discover whether we are the right fit to work together and can provide the support you need. I can offer a free introductory call either via phone or zoom - whichever you prefer - usually lasting between 20-30 minutes. We can discuss your needs from counselling and I can tell you more about how I work and how this may support you. From there we can arrange our first session together.

All following sessions are 50-minutes at £50.
