About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified, BACP registered (MBACP) person-centered and experiential psychotherapist, educated to MA level. I offer face-to-face, online, or telephone sessions for a range of issues including abandonment, anxiety, bereavement, complex trauma, depression, PTSD, victims/perpetrators of abuse, etc.
As a person-centred & experiential psychotherapist I believe that our deepest yearnings are to grow and to form nurturing relationships. However, life is hard, and these natural tendencies can become compromised or inhibited through difficult experiences. We can even lose sight of them altogether. When this happens we often feel stuck. At worst, we can arrive at a profound sense of estrangement from ourselves.
As things currently stand in the UK and elsewhere, clients seeking help from a GP or Psychiatrist for mental health difficulties are likely to be diagnosed with a psychological disorder. I have worked with clients with an array of clinical diagnoses, including Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Such terms mean different things to different clients. It is my own view that these labels denote highly complex and practiced ways of relating to the self and others - ways of being that are always, on some level, rooted in the perceived need to defend or protect the self. Thus, when I embark on a relationship with a client, I try to encounter the person, rather than any diagnoses they may have acquired.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified, BACP registered psychotherapist, educated to MA level. I offer face-to-face or online supervision for practicing therapists.
As therapists we so often set unrealistic standards for ourselves in work with clients. When we inevitably fall short, we doubt ourselves and even question the value and point of therapy. As a practicing therapist with over 16 years experience working in various contexts, I can offer a supervisory relationship geared towards examining and exploring how your own difficulties, including thoughts and feelings towards your clients (and indeed the work in general) could be impacting your work with them.
Our work together could also aim at freeing you from the unnecessary burden of perfectionism in working with clients, and any other forms and manifestations of anxiety you experience as a therapist. Being perfect and knowing everything doesn't help clients. Listening well does. Together we could identify and work with any barriers you may feel to the kind of deep, immersive listening in sessions that truly helps clients transform their lives.
