About me and my therapy practice

Everyone can experience challenges or go through difficult times and sometimes it feels like no-one understands. My aim is to listen to you, to accept you and to understand what you need.  Whatever your concerns, I will provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and support you through that process. Together we can make the positive changes you want in your life.

I work with adults of all ages and offer short or long-term work.  I am based in Reigate in Surrey but, with also being online, I welcome people from all over. In order for counselling to be more accessible for those who seek support, I try to keep my rates low. I charge £35 per session online and £45 per session face-to-face. I also offer a free 20 minute online consultation for us to meet to see if you feel that I would be the right person for you. I currently have flexible hours available during the week but am not available on a Saturday or Sunday.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, an MSc in Behavioural Science and I'm a registered member of BACP (accredited). I am currently doing a Level 6 course on working with trauma in order to provide a greater level of support to those clients who have experienced deep trauma in their lives.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions.  I welcome all enquiries and treat them with complete confidentiality.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor which means I am trained in more than one approach.  You may come to me for help with anxiety, for example, and together we can work on techniques to help manage your anxiety using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).  Or you may want to take the lead and explore your situation in your own way - I will gently support you on that journey using the Person-Centred approach.  The psychodynamic approach is a longer term process focusing deeply on childhood and working with the unconscious.  This flexibility allows me to tailor our sessions to you as an individual and for you to get the most out of our time together.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute consultation session where you can tell me about what brings you to counselling and I can provide more details about how I work. There is no obligation for further sessions. Building a therapeutic relationship with someone you trust is a crucial part of the counselling experience and sometimes you may need to speak to a few counsellors before you find one that feels right.  If you would like to continue, further sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly but timing can be flexible to meet the client's needs.
