About me and my therapy practice
Private counselling in South Leicestershire.
Comfortable, confidential setting with easy access and flexible appointment times.
I am a BACP registered, DIT accredited counsellor. I have worked as a therapist since 2005 and in associated professional roles since 1998.
Counselling orientated qualifications include HE Diploma, BA Hons & a counselling supervisor qualification. My original training orientation was contemporary psychodynamic, I have added to this with CPD in many areas.
Experience includes: Extensive NHS experience, Private Practice, EAP and voluntary sector work. Face to face work is my preferred approach but I am telephone work experienced and can offer this in suitable circumstances.
- *Assisting HSP's to understand their trait and improve wellbeing.
- *Working with individuals to remedy the experience of anxiety and depression via talking therapy.
- *Long term exploratory work with clients looking for growth/change.
I believe each person to be unique and I approach my work with every client to prioritise their individual needs/requirements. I value the counselling relationship and the process of the work above all else but my interactions with clients are grounded in up-to-date theory and practice evidence.
