About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited psychotherapist with the BACP working within their ethical framework. I work in an integrative way, meaning that we will use a way of working that will aim to get your needs met in therapy, this could be using a relationship-based way of working exploring your emotions and general difficulties you are experiencing or using cognitive behavioural therapy or schema therapy.
I am also an accredited BABCP psychotherapist using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as a way of working with more short term specific difficulties. Having lived abroad in East Africa for over 13 years, I have learnt to respect that people that people are unique and that they have difficulties for all sorts of reasons large or small and what may feel easy for one person, may feel very difficult for another.
Currently I am privileged to be working in the NHS in Eastbourne as a CBT therapist in secondary care working with complex difficulties. I find this work rewarding, working with differing complexities ranging from depression, anxiety, OCD, low self esteem presentations as well as working with clients who have psychosis and personality disorders.
