About me and my therapy practice
People come to therapy for many different reasons: you can't sleep, are finding it difficult to move on from a person or situation, you’re having trouble at work. Or maybe you’ve noticed a change in yourself, or some repeating patterns that you’d like to understand better. Perhaps things simply don’t feel right and you’re not sure why.
Whatever it is, I aim to create a calm and accepting space for you to explore what's going on, to be yourself and gain greater insight as to who that is. If you feel a desire for change, I work collaboratively with you to decide upon both the route and the destination. And, looking beyond therapy, I hope to help you develop a sense of assurance in your own beliefs and values, and an understanding of how to draw on your inner resources to face life's challenges.
I have a private practice and work with a broad variety of individuals, helping them with numerous presenting issues such as, relationship troubles, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, anxiety and depression. I also currently volunteer as a counsellor for Mind in Haringey, and previously I have been an honorary psychotherapist in a low-cost service.

I work with individuals; adults (ages 16 and above), of all gender identities. My approach is from an integrative model, which means that I’m trained to use elements of the main therapeutic approaches: psychodynamics, person-centred and cognitive-behavioural. People are as varied and diverse as the issues they bring, and I believe finding the right combination of skills and theories suited to you is very important.
I subscribe to the person-centred approach that if the right conditions are created a person can be, and express, themselves authentically. I believe that everyone knows what’s right for them and I see my role as helping you get to know that.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy I adhere to the BACP ethical framework and receive regular clinical supervision from an accredited practitioner.
My first session
You can contact me by phone or email if you would like to arrange an assessment.
An assessment will give us the chance to get to know each other and see if we’d like to work together. If so, we’ll meet on a weekly basis, at the same agreed time, for a fifty minute session. The number of sessions we have is up to you and we can discuss this as part of the assessment.
I offer sessions via Zoom or face-to-face.
I charge £50 per session and offer a limited number of concessional slots for those on low incomes. We can discuss the fee in our first session.
