About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified, accredited and experienced counsellor offering long or short term therapy on a weekly basis in Brighton and Hove.
Along with my private practice I work within University counselling services and have a wealth of experience working with teenagers and young adults. I work psychodynamically - looking at how past experience may be impacting on the challenges that a client is facing now. I work together with clients to break negative behaviours / thought patterns. I have worked with clients across a broad range of issues including social anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
An initial telephone consultation can help find the right space and time to suit your needs. Then the first session can be used to establish how we can work together and support each individuals needs.
I have a relaxed and warm attitude which helps clients to establish a good working relationship quickly. I will help to create a safe environment without judgement.
My first session
The first session gives us a chance to see if we will work well together. I will get to know you and understand more about what has brought you into therapy, whilst making you feel more comfortable in the process. We can explore your focus and if you don't have one explore the main issues you are facing.
I charge less for the first session £30, so think of it as a trial session, after this initial session you can decide if you would like to then have further contracted therapy sessions with myself.
