About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with anxiety, stress, depression or relationship issues?  Do you feel it would be good to talk to someone outside of your everyday life?  I can help.

I provide a warm, safe and confidential space, allowing you to explore and make sense of whatever is troubling you.  We will work together to help you move forward, at a pace that suits you.

Everyone is unique, every issue is different therefore I tailor sessions and draw from different approaches.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of life issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, low self-esteem, feeling sad, stress and loss & bereavement.

I have worked for the last 2 years at a respected local charity in Poole supporting adults who suffer from the effects of emotional, sexual and physical childhood abuse. This includes experience of working with complex trauma, PTSD, stress and anxiety.

Practice description

How counselling can help

Life doesn't always run smoothly and it can bring us various challenges which can sometimes feel overwhelming. Counselling can provide you with the time and space to make sense of how and why you feel the way you do and help you learn better ways of coping.

It can be hard to open up and share your inner most thoughts and concerns with someone, especially with someone you don’t know. We all have things on our minds that we feel we cannot raise, even with our closest family and friends. You will find that even just being able to verbalise your thoughts can be very therapeutic.

Whatever is bringing you to counselling, I believe that we all can grow and achieve our potential and that a positive therapeutic relationship can greatly aid this process.
