About me and my therapy practice

“We don’t get wounded alone, and we don’t heal alone” Carl Jung

I would love to be part of your support system. Having someone next to you on your journey of healing is so important - you are not alone and you don’t have to suffer in silence. I am passionate about providing a calm, gentle and patient relationship for all my clients.

I deeply care about the well-being of everyone I work with. I have met people from all walks of life, everyone is welcome and I want to hear your story. You deserve a space without judgment to be seen and heard.

I draw on several theories of change to help you get to where you want to be. My priority is to develop our working relationship so you feel safe; we have all the time we need to build that foundational trust. Although we may be working with deep feelings, counselling can be a really fun and enlightening experience.

As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about working with marginalised identities. I understand what it’s like to feel isolated or rejected and not fit into what people say is normal. What makes you different is what makes you beautiful.

An integrated therapist is of the belief that there isn't just one therapy strategy that can benefit a client in every circumstance. Instead, I consider you as a unique individual and your circumstances, using aspects of several approaches to support you in your exploration and problem-solving.

The person-centred approach is the core value of my work, but I also integrate theories of psychodynamic and transactional analysis into my practice.

As your therapist, my aim is to provide a space to support you on your journey and throughout your process. Offering compassion, understanding, honesty, and non-judgement will encourage you to make your own decisions, and together we will find solutions that work for you. I believe you are the expert in your life and that you deserve a space to find those answers.

Practice description

I work with my clients to create an open environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step towards seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and I would be honoured to take you on this journey.

My first session

In the first session, we will discuss the contract together, and I will ask some lifestyle questions and put a safety plan in place. Sessions are open-ended, which means you decide if and when you would like to continue or discontinue sessions.
