About me and my therapy practice
I'm an Integrative Therapist, grounded in a Person-Centred approach. I use a range of therapeutic models including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Therapeutic Journaling. I am described as a warm and empathic counsellor, deep thinking and intuitive. I see the relationship between individual and counsellor as integral and I will work creatively with you to find the right process and therapy style.
I am LGBTQ+ affirmative and identify as a bisexual cis woman. I have significant experience working with people who have experienced domestic abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, grief, self-harm, suicidal ideation, miscarriage, childhood abuse, relationship difficulties and chronic health problems. I am also a 'Spatial Anxiety' Researcher and I have just completing my Masters in Psychology.
I provide a 30 minute consultation appointment, charged at £35 and then if you feel comfortable to continue therapy with me, we will meet for 50 minute sessions ( at £55), either weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your needs.
I see everyone as unique and precious so will work with you to discover the best kind of therapy for you. I believe therapy should be something that you look forward to and not dread, that it can be used to foster self-compassion, find ways to change if and where you need it, be a space just for you and where you feel you're making a good investment.

I will cover some important information around confidentiality, my supervision processes, and other details you need to know. But most importantly it gives you an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, what you need, ask me any questions and figure out whether I can offer you what you need.
Towards the end of the session we can talk about how you feel the session has been and if you would like to book any further sessions. Or you can have a think about what you'd like to do; there's no pressure! It's important that you feel comfortable to get the most out of therapy for you. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to get in touch.
