About me and my therapy practice
I believe that the support of others helps us to face challenges in our lives. As a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP I will provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We can work together to help you find and develop the resources you have, or need, to negotiate and manage life’s difficulties.
I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling which means I am trained in a number of different therapeutic techniques, including solution focused therapy, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and can work in a way which best suits you and your needs, for example this could be a short-term solution focused or a longer term person-centred approach. I work with adults, children from 9 years and young people.
My first session
When you make contact with me I will offer you a no obligation, 15-20min initial consultation where you will have the opportunity to explain some basic information about yourself and your reasons for seeking counselling. You will then have the option of deciding whether you would like to continue working with me.
If you decide to proceed with counselling we will then agree on a time and day for our first session. This can be remotely via online video call or a telephone call or face to face in my counselling room in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
