About me and my therapy practice
If you’re stressed, traumatized, anxious, or depressed, for whatever reason, and you need a place where you can speak in confidence to someone who’s calm, non-judgmental, understanding and empathetic, I can help. I've been to some of these places myself, and you'll be talking to someone who gets what you're going through
Part of the journey is always about bringing what lies hidden to greater consciousness. The most important thing, however, is establishing an environment in which you feel calm, safe, heard, understood, and supported, so that whatever comes to consciousness in therapy is received in a way which fosters understanding, self-acceptance, growth and personal development.
I also incorporate some of the hugely important advances in neuroscience which have been made in recent years. This enables us to understand how the nervous system works and responds to anxiety and trauma.
Practice description
I am seeing mainly online clients at the moment, and I have found that working online has proved to be remarkably effective.
I also see clients in person at the CCPE, near Paddington station, and at the London Therapy Foundation in Richmond.
I am available during the day and early evening on weekdays.
My first session
I offer a free phone, Zoom or Skype session where you can ask me any questions you may have and we can get a sense of how we could work together. After at least five sessions, we will have a review and agree a plan going forward. You might want to try to resolve a particular issue in the short term, or you might want to commit to long term therapy, which goes deeper over time.
