About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes you come to a point in life where something needs to change and you need help with that shift. Maybe you have unresolved issues from the past; possibly you are having difficulty dealing with more recent events.
Perhaps you feel stressed, anxious, sad, depressed, confused, angry or numb and it is getting in the way of you living your life as you would like. It could be that you have noticed unhelpful patterns or thoughts. Alternatively you may feel just stuck or have a sense that on the surface life appears fine but something is missing.
My aim is to offer support in exploring how these events and feelings are impacting your life and help you find a way through.
How often do you have the opportunity to talk about you and be fully listened to?
I provide a time and space where, without judgement, you will find hope, confidentiality, empathy and warmth.
In helping you gain an understanding of what has happened or is happening, I aim to help you identify the changes you want to make and help you deal with those issues.
I tailor my way of working to suit you, using the most appropriate combination of approaches from my training in Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Creative Therapy and Mindfulness. If these terms sound baffling then don’t worry – it just means I have a variety of ways of counselling and we find what is best for you and what you bring.
I am an 'Approved Therapist' registered and working for Anxiety UK.
