About me and my therapy practice
The world can be a difficult place. Sometimes, life can feel pointless. I offer an open space where you can explore yourself and your life without blame or judgement. I’m a psychosynthesis practitioner. It’s a perspective that sees life struggles, however painful, as opportunities to grow beyond what holds you back.
For all our different approaches, counsellors are united in the belief that two people talking openly and honestly together, can find clarity, assurance and encouragement. It's not always an easy conversation and it's rarely a quick one. It's not cheap either. I charge £50 for a weekly session lasting an hour. You may bring a specific problem or just a general feeling. Either is good. The journey starts from where you are. We’ll explore who you are, what you want and what stands in your way. Where I bring empathy and understanding, I can also bring challenge and I’ll be right alongside you, all the way.
To find out if we 'feel right' for each other, I offer a free initial meeting with no obligation to continue. And, like most of the rest of the world, I currently only work on Zoom.
My first session
The process begins with an assessment. This is probably the most structured set of questions you’re ever likely to encounter in a session. They help me find out if I’m able to offer what you’re looking for and if my approach feels right for you. If we feel comfortable to work together, we’ll make an agreement that usually involves a six-week term with a review at the end.
