About me and my therapy practice
Counselling is my passion and I will work alongside you to explore the hardships and issues that you wish to bring to therapy. As an integrative counsellor, I will work to adapt my approach to suit your needs. Whilst I will always offer a confidential and supportive space where you can be heard and listened to, there is also scope for us to work more collaboratively in addressing any goals or needs you have during our sessions together.
My goal is to ensure you feel heard, respected and supported. That is why I tend to take a collaborative approach, to ensure that you are getting the most from our sessions together.
I have experience of supporting clients with a range of difficult issues, ranging from mild to severe anxiety and depression. I remain committed to supporting you through any difficulties you face.
Practice description
I offer online and telephone counselling. This ensures that you have a comfortable and accessible space to access counselling.
I offer a no-cost 20 minute initial consultation. This gives us the chance to chat and for me to find out a bit more about what you would like to get out from therapy. I can also explain a bit more about how I work as a therapist.
After the initial consultation, I will send a counselling agreement, which outlines the terms of future sessions and I also send a questionnaire to better understand how any anxiety or stress is impacting you in a daily basis. We can then begin our sessions together, should you wish to go ahead.
I have experience of supporting clients with a range of difficult issues and I remain committed to supporting you through any difficulties you face.
My first session
The first session with me will be an opportunity for you to talk through any area of your life that is causing you the most distress, or indeed for you to have the space to talk about what you need to. Whether there are specific issues you want to explore or goals you want to achieve, this can all be explored in the opening session.
Or perhaps you just feel down, depressed or overwhelmed and don't know where to begin, we can start with how you are feeling and take it from there.
I ask clients to sign an agreement before our sessions begin, as this contains important information about the terms of the sessions. I also ask clients to complete a brief assessment form and questionnaire.
