About me and my therapy practice

The relationship you make in therapy defines its outcome. The more you trust, the better the fit between us, the better the work will be. 

It's hard to start therapy but it can be life changing. And that change can begin after 6 weeks, not 6 years. 

I have particular training and experience in working with anxiety and all its many faces. It's there to protect you but it is limiting you and what you want to do and be. Let's shine a light of understanding on it, turn down its grip and free you enough to begin new things you are yearning to discover, about yourself, the world or someone else.  

I am trained to work with depression, bereavement and loss, in all its guises, including loss from suicide. I can help you understand the myriad of emotions that can happen in the space of 5 minutes, that can leave you unsure how to manage the world and your place in it. 

I am trained in ADHD management of emotions, and the confusion arising from not understanding the unspoken assumptions everyone else seems to see. 

I am trained in Emotionally focused therapy for relationships. This means I can help you understand the gap between who you are in a relationship with another, and who you want to be, why it's there and how to close it.

 I am trained in mindfulness, and am the only psychodynamic therapist to offer an optional 3 minute breathing space at the beginning of each session. This can help you arrive in this difficult thinking space, and make the most of the session.

Practice description

I would love to talk to you to see if we are a good fit! If we both decide we are then; 

We would 'meet' weekly, or fortnightly on Zoom or phone (your preference) for 50 minute sessions at the same time each week, depending on how indepth you need our work to be.  Sessions are mornings or early afternoons. You can fit our work into your working day from the comfort of your home.

 Research continually tells us that it is not the therapy mode that is the key ingredient to lasting change, but the relationship between the therapist and client. So take time to investigate this. Bring questions for me if you would like too. 


I know that you may have considered therapy for months or even years before reaching out to pursue it. Therefore, where possible I offer the free 15 minute chat within a few days or up to a week of enquiry  as long as I have space for new clients. We can usually then begin our work shortly after. I will let you know if I am not providing what I think you need.
