My name is Sadia and I live in London. I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor working in this field since 2015. I am very compassionate about my work, despite the colour, beliefs, values or culture that people belong to. I believe we are all human with the same emotions and no one is superior or inferior. I work with clients from many different cultures/countries, such as, English, European, Asian, Africans and many others. I am honoured to work with diversity. My style of work is relational, I believe in strong connection with my client. In order to achieve this, my approach is non-judgemental and empathic. Therapy is a very personal journey and it is unlikely that you will feel better after one or two sessions. Therapy is not about giving advice or telling you what to do. I offer a private and safe space where people can talk through issues they are struggling with. The therapy will aim to be non-judgemental in a supportive environment to enable the client to resolve their personal struggles by helping to identify the nature of the hurt as the client reassess their life and seeks more effective ways of coping.
I like travelling and meet new people. When I am not working I travel and also open time with my family. I am passionate about working with all backgrounds and cultures.
Practice descriptionMy previous work experience in this field is very diverse. I have worked with people from so many countries and cultures. I have learned a lot form my client as each one of them were special and unique. I also work with a charity which helps and support people in bereavement and loss.
My first session
In my first session I would like to do assessment in order to help me to understand clients struggles and concerns. I will explain the way I work and also go through with the therapy contract.
Due to the current issues caused by COVID-19. I am working online at the moment.
