About me and my therapy practice
Life can seem difficult or even overwhelming at times. When we feel this way - as perhaps you do now - counselling can provide the space for you to share the difficulties you're experiencing. The aim is to help you come to understand these problems and you can make the changes that feel right to you - so you can live more fully.
I’m an experienced, BACP registered counsellor who offers an empathic, non-judgemental space where you can talk freely and confidentially and together we can explore and work through these issues that trouble you.
As we explore your worries and the underlying issues, you will gain insight into your emotional reactions and behavioural patterns and begin to build a new self-awareness. This provides you with new ways of responding to situations you find difficult and also helps you develop more of a say in how you lead your life moving forward.
I’ve been trained in various therapeutic schools (this is called an 'integrative' approach). This enables me to tailor the therapy to the specific needs of each client. My training base is 'humanistic' which means I take a holistic view of the person and aim to help them connect authentically with their internal, often under-used resources.
I'm also trained in 'psychodynamic' counselling which believes that the past has often had significant influence on how you live your life today. This approach can provide valuable self-knowledge, enabling you to better understand yourself and adapt to events in the present and the future.

I work out of comfortable and conveniently located consulting rooms in Victoria and Brighton. The first consultation is at half the price of a normal session fee.
