Therapist - Bristol

Bristol BS1
Sessions from £70.00

Features

Availability

I have availability at Orchard Street Therapy Rooms, 11 Orchard Street, Bristol, BS1 5EH at

noon and at 2pm on Thursdays

for weekly in-person psychotherapy or counselling.

About me and my therapy practice

I help people who are struggling and perhaps wondering ‘am I normal?’ and ‘is this all there is?’ to feel better. You may be experiencing anxiety in relationships, feeling confused about a recent loss, wanting to heal from trauma(s) - I am here to help.

Like all ethical practitioners, I have been a therapy client myself. I know what it is like to sit in that chair; the frustrations and the 'ah ha!' moments. Clients tell me I’m ‘authentic’ and ‘real’ – I’m here to be me listening to you be all of who you are.

Professional, integrative psychotherapeutic counselling with me, in Bath and Bristol, offers you a confidential space to explore how to create good relationships with yourself and others around you. In the process, you’ll likely find more fulfilment in your life - whatever that looks like for you.

While there is a very human and natural pull toward a “quick fix” when we are feeling low, talking therapy can take time to offer deep, emotional changes. Having said that, people are often surprised at the difference only a few sessions can make – it can feel really good to share with another as you start to tell you story to someone who really wants to listen.

Practice description

Step 1: Free 15m Online Consultation

When you contact me, I will e-mail you back within 48 hours. We will have a 15 minutes consultation on Zoom or over the phone to discuss your needs, goals and location preferences. This is a chance to see if we are the right fit for each other and how we can work together.

Step 2: 50min assessment (364)

This is a longer getting-to-know you session and a chance for you to ask any questions you may have. There is no obligation to continue.

If we agree to work together we then contract for a six-week trial period to see how it goes. I will be keen to hear your feedback and to hear how to best support you, as there is much evidence to show that the relationship you have with your counsellor - and not the type of therapy - is a key to therapeutic success. All this to say - it’s important you find the counsellor that works for you.

Step 3: Counselling. Regular 50m weekly sessions in-person or online.

My first session

This is a longer getting-to-know you session and a chance for you to ask any questions you may have and tell me a little more about your story and your personal background.
