Update: I now have some availability

I am happy to report that I am now back working face to face in a beautiful, peaceful location in Cheltenham with easy reach from Gloucester, Stroud and surrounding areas. Free parking is available just outside.

If online therapy works better for you this is not a problem. The thought of video counselling can seem a little daunting for some at first, but experience has taught me that connection and a feeling of being together is still very present even if we are not in the same room. It also has many advantages like not having to travel and you can relax in your own surroundings, which many find comforting and safe.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello my name is Jacqui and I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. To put this simply, I use counselling and psychotherapy skills to help my clients through difficult and challenging times in their lives.

I work with Individuals, Couples and now offer Psychosexual therapy. Please see my website for further information or contact me.

Emotional and mental wellbeing is just as important as our physical health, yet far too often we neglect or suppress our inner struggles until they build up to a point of making us depressed, anxious, or simply sad. This can affect not only us, but our loved ones too. Let us take this next step together.

I will endeavour to provide a safe, confidential space for you to share your emotional burden without the fear of bias or judgement. I will sit beside you and help you feel heard and understood. We will work towards improving the quality and meaning of your life and bring back the joy.

We can work towards making sense of your anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and so much more.

Life can be a very challenging at times and problems can persist and get worse until you feel overwhelmed; there is no need to suffer alone.

Practice description

Individuals

Maybe you are feeling stuck at the moment, with nowhere to turn and feel as if nobody understands. Maybe there are issues too uncomfortable to share with those close, or maybe you are holding onto painful emotions with no idea how to process them. Together we can tackle those difficulties, maybe look at negative patterns of behaviour, possibly influenced by your past, that still hinder you in the present.

I have a special interest in relationships and how we interact with others and the effects they have on us. Whether it be personal, family, business or romantic, we can explore how to enrich such relationships or move on feeling more at peace.

Couples

Are you a couple who feel you have lost your way and are not enjoying each other as you once did? Are you unable to communicate, be heard or seen anymore? Maybe you are trying to get over an infidelity, or perhaps one of you is dealing with a big life event and you are unable to support each other. Maybe there are problems and stresses of raising a family or issues arising in later life. Has the spark gone in your long term relationships? Is there limited intimacy, or is your sex life not where you would like it to be? Would you like your friend back?

There are so many reasons why couples seek relationship therapy. With the right support you can often find a new lease of life in your partnership or marriage, sometimes richer than you thought possible.

Sadly sometimes couples decide to part ways and seek help in finding an amicable ending. I can offer support through this difficult time.

I will be there to facilitate and help improve communication, giving you both the space to be heard. I will remain neutral and non-biased, helping you both feel valued, heard and respected.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute initial telephone consultation or Zoom call for couples to see how we could work together and possibly proceed to a more indepth first session to gather more information.

If we wish to work together we will set up a regular weekly appointment.

Please feel free to email me if you wish to set up an initial call.

Please note, fees for individuals are £50 for a fifty minute session and £65 for couples for a one hour session.

I am now able to offer Psychosexual therapy, this is usually £70, but as I am still in advanced training the fee will be £55.
