About me and my therapy practice
Hello my name is Jacqui and I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I work with individuals and I am also a Relate trained couple therapist.
You have just taken a very positive step in seeking help and getting your life back on track, I understand the courage this takes and finding the right therapist that will 'get' you can seem daunting. Maybe you are feeling stuck in life at the moment with nowhere to turn or feel like nobody really understands? Maybe there are issues too uncomfortable to share with those close to you or you are carrying painful emotions with no idea how to process them?
Besides individual therapy you may be a couple who have lost your way and see no light at the end of the tunnel, unable to communicate your wants and needs or maybe trying to come to terms with a difficult obstacle like infidelity. Are you having trouble igniting the intimacy and desire you once shared? There are so many reasons why couples seek therapy and with the right support they often find a new lease of life in their relationship, sometimes richer than they ever thought possible.
Together whether you are an individual or a couple we can discuss issues that might be holding you back, maybe look at negative patterns influenced by your past and how they might hinder the present? We can explore certain behaviours that might be affecting your relationships and work towards improving them.
I will be there to listen without judgement in a safe and confidential space and accept you just as who you are right now. I am an open minded therapist and will do my best to offer you that platform to share your inner struggles.
Due to the recent situation counselling has taken on a different form and is proving to be very successful.
I am currently offering online and telephone counselling. Face to face will be available again in the near future.
The thought of video therapy can seem a little daunting for some at first, but experience has taught me that connection and a feeling of being together is still very present even if we are not in the same room. It also has many advantages like not having to travel which means I can offer my services further afield and you can relax in your own surroundings, which many find comforting and safe.
Telephone counselling is also a great way to get help and support, some prefer the anonymity of this approach.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute initial telephone consultation to see how we could work together.
If we wish to proceed we will set up a regular weekly appointment.
Please feel free to email me if you wish to set up an initial call.
Please note online fees are £45 for individual therapy and £60 for a couple.
