About me and my therapy practice

Hello my name is Jacqui and I'm a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.

You have just taken a very positive step in seeking help and getting your life back on track, I understand the courage this takes and finding the right therapist that will 'get' you can seem daunting.

Maybe you are feeling stuck in life at the moment with nowhere to turn or feel like nobody really understands? Maybe there are issues too uncomfortable to share with those close to you or you are carrying painful emotions with no idea how to process them?

Emotional well being is just as important as our physical health, yet we often accept painful feelings like lasting sadness, loneliness, anxiety and depression as part of a burden we must simply carry; it doesn't have to be this way.

Together we can discuss issues that might be holding you back, maybe look at negative patterns influenced by your past and how they might hinder the present? We can explore certain behaviours that might be affecting your relationships and work towards improving them.

I will be there to listen without judgement in a safe and confidential space and accept you just as who you are right now. I will help and encourage you to move forward and live your best life.

"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." Carl Gustav Jung

Practice description

Due to the current situation and social distancing, counselling has taken on a different form and is proving to be very successful.

I am currently offering  online and telephone counselling. Face to face will be available again when deemed safe.

The thought of video therapy can seem a little daunting for some at first, but experience has taught me that connection and a feeling of being together is still very present even if we are not in the same room. It also has many advantages like not having to travel which means I can offer my services further afield and you can relax in your own surroundings, which many find comforting and safe.

Telephone counselling is also a great way to get help and support, some prefer the anonymity of this approach.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute initial telephone consultation to see how we could work together.

If we wish to proceed we will set up a regular weekly appointment.

Please feel free to email me if you wish to set up an initial call.

Thank you.
