About me and my therapy practice

Have you been struggling with a problem for some time, or perhaps something has happened recently and you are finding it hard to cope? I can provide you with an independent perspective on the issues you face, and assist you in finding ways to achieve your goals. This process can involve close consideration and reflection of your thoughts, feelings and behavioural patterns, within a safe, non-judgemental environment, to allow you the opportunity to find the ways forward that you need.

As a unique individual, your life experience and problems will differ to those of others. My bespoke service, tailored to your specific needs will draw from a number of counselling theories and techniques, designed to assist and support you.

I offer individuals short or long term work. Depending on your needs, therapy may just be a few sessions or you may decide that working on an open ended basis feels better for you.

In addition to my private counselling work, since January 2013, as a Clinical Supervisor I have provided Supervision to Counsellors at a BACP Accredited Counselling Service.

Practice description

I offer remote sessions to people in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area. I am skilled in building a rapport both over the phone and videocall

My first session

What to expect in our first session:

It is very important for you to find a counsellor who you feel happy to work with. As such, in our first introductory meeting we will establish what your needs are and whether working together feels right for you. If this is the first time you have sought counselling, it may seem daunting, so this session will give you the opportunity to find out exactly what it will involve.

If you decide to continue with counselling, each therapy session will be fifty minutes, usually at the same time each week.
