About me and my therapy practice
My name is Emma and I am a qualified counsellor and Registered Member MBACP. My qualification is in Person Centred Counselling via Kent Adult Education. As part of my membership with the BACP I adhere to their Ethical Framework to ensure I am working safely and in the best way for my clients.
I have a private practice which is based online via Skype, face to face and telephone counselling.
I am passionate about working creatively and have experience working with diverse groups and minority communities. I have experience working with people with sensory impairments and understand the importance of communication, accessibility and individuality.
I am qualified in British Sign Language Level 2 and have worked with people with a dual sight and hearing loss. I attend regular Professional Development Training events including Intrusive Thoughts and Depression which I can reflect on and bring into a session if appropriate.
Looking for support and thinking about counselling can be daunting; but I hope from my website you can learn more about me and what I can offer to help you. I hope to empower you through listening to achieve balance, which is why I called myself ELB Counselling Services.
In my practice I commit to offering a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can feel comfortable to talk openly about how you are feeling. I am aware sometimes it can be hard to talk to someone you know as they may have an opinion or be involved.
