About me and my therapy practice
Hi, do you worry that your mental health has been impacted by certain circumstances in your life? Have you noticed yourself feeling on edge, distressed or without hope? Are you plagued by intrusive thoughts, disrupted sleep or flashbacks of traumatic moments or impossible choices?
If so, you are not alone in feeling this way and you needn't be alone on your pathway to feeling better. Taking medication can indeed help in the short term and this can be essential and sometimes enough. But it's only part of the neurobiology of happiness and good mental health. Counselling facilitates lifelong changes in perceptions, mental processes and neuropathways, which is essential for meaningful and sustained improvements. Human beings are immensely resilient and though you may not feel it's possible just now, you too can harness this and heal, grow and thrive.
I'm an experienced counsellor, providing flexible and effective therapy for adults. I specialise in counselling for generalised anxiety, PTSD, abuse, burnout and depression. My theoretical approach is integrative, with an emphasis on relational and existential psychology.
So, whatever it is that you're struggling with right now, please do get in touch to arrange a consultation and I very much look forward to working with you.
Practice description
My face to face practice is from my comfortable and private, purpose built counselling room in Chislehurst (session rate £60) and online sessions are available UK-wide via Zoom (session rate £55).
Please note: I am currently offering a discount for individuals working for the emergency services or the NHS experiencing pandemic/work related trauma and burnout, so please ask about this when enquiring.
I also offer a limited number of couples counselling places for couples wanting to improve and heal their relationships. Please visit my website for more information.
My first session
I aim to get back to you within 24 hours of you making an initial enquiry so that we may arrange a free phone consultation (usually 10-15 minutes). During which, you'll be able to outline your needs and availability and ask any questions. Together we can check if my service is right for you and if not, I will be able to suggest some other options.
