About me and my therapy practice
Hello. People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons and from all kinds of routes. Key to a good counselling experience is having the right counsellor for you. I am a person centred counsellor which means that I want to work with you as an individual. I don’t have a written structure or set of techniques that I employ I simply aim to build a strong, trusting relationship within which you can explore whatever area of yourself or your life that you need too. There is no wrong or right way to approach your problems so I believe that it is best to let your therapeutic journey unfold in the way that is most natural for you.
My aim is to understand you as best I can so that I can share your distress, your joy, your fears. I would like for you not to feel alone but to feel connected and safe as you explore yourself.
Our sessions would be fifty minutes long, it might feel a bit daunting to talk about yourself for this long but most people settle into a rhythm for their sessions and find the time passes quickly.
